BCAT Africa 2022<\/strong> aims to raise awareness of cryptocurrencies on the continent at a time when more and more Africans are turning to digital assets.<\/span> With a 1,200% increase in the volume of cryptocurrencies received between 2020 and 2021, the rapid adoption of digital assets in Africa has caught the attention of many companies and institutions looking to enter this growing market.<\/span> \"Binance Scheduled to take place in June, the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour (BCAT)<\/strong> is an ongoing awareness campaign provided by Binance that aims to spread knowledge and strive to develop a strong cryptocurrency community in Africa. By reaching out to university students, mainly in Southeast Nigeria, the campaign hopes to strengthen the adoption of cryptocurrencies among young Nigerians, the dominant age group in the country.<\/span> The main event will take place on <\/span>June 4 at the Amadeo Event Center in Enugu, Nigeria. Other stops on the tour include Uganda, Ghana and Cameroon.<\/span> Binance kicked off its BCAT tour in 2019 and claims to have reached more than 60,000 Nigerians. This year’s event focuses heavily on concepts related to Play-to-Earn, Metaverse and Nonfungible tokens.\u00a0<\/span>Despite being the smallest cryptocurrency economy in the world in terms of market penetration, Africa is adopting digital assets at a faster pace as locals look for alternatives to weak financial infrastructure and a shortage of payments. According to data from Chainalysis, money transfers, peer-to-peer payments and savings have become the main drivers for locals. Similar to Argentina, many in Africa view Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies as an outlet from government policies and inflation.<\/span> BCAT Africa 2022 is also looking to meet the need for a shared chat space about cryptocurrencies, especially in a place where most central banks ban or strictly regulate cryptocurrencies, which has led many Africans to use peer-to-peer systems that have become popular.<\/span> >>>In addition: Binance lists LUNA 2.0 on innovation zone. <\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
