Binance’s founder and CEO, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, said that they are in the process of dialogue for legal approval in Germany. He said at an event in Hamburg on Wednesday that Binance is recruiting compliance personnel for its team in Germany and hopes to be licensed here. “Our team is definitely working with regulators in this country,” he said.
Binance was recently registered as a digital asset services provider by autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) in France. After receiving operational approval in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Binance turned its focus to obtaining licenses in the world’s largest markets. Licenses in Germany, Europe’s largest market, could open the door to legal approval in other countries on the continent.
